Yesterday was two weeks since little Coyotito came home to mamí and papí, and life at the Tena/Shah home is tiring, loud, poopy... and wholly and entirely blissful and rewarding.
Coyotito is now seven weeks old chronologically, but still in utero developmentally. But oh how he has grown... he is exactly SEVEN POUNDS! He has a voracious appetite, and yet loves to sleep all day (mamí and papí wish he would learn to sleep at night!).
Mamang Chucy and Tito Ravi came by over the weekend to shower Coyotito with affection (and presents from France!).
A proud grandmother!
The happy family!
Next we were off to visit Aparna's midwife, Hsiu-Li, who was going to delivere little Coyo, except that in his rush to be born, nobody had a chance to call her! We introduced her to him, and boy was she ever so happy to finally meet him face to face!
Pick a winner lil' homie!
Coyotito even had a chance to walk the picket line with the nurses of CNA, who are on strike right now at his former hospital Alta Bates in Berkeley. Jennifer, the nurse on the right, was Aparna's admitting nurse when she was triaged the night Coyo was born. She remembers well our look of disbelief when she told us that Aparna was going to give birth that night!

Happy baby!
and a happy mamí tambien...
